Summarise the Key Points From a Non-Fiction Book You Just Finished
You finished the book. You got something from it. You will not remember what in three months unless you write it down now. This produces a note you can actually share: the main argument, the best ideas, the weak spot, and whether you would tell someone else to read it. Honest rather than impressed.
Write down the following about a non-fiction book you have just finished: title, author, the main argument in your own words, three to five ideas that you found genuinely useful or surprising, one idea you disagreed with or found weak, and one thing you have already done or plan to do because of the book. Then summarise it into a note of under 200 words that you could share with someone deciding whether to read it, without overselling or underselling. The note should give them the main argument, two specific ideas, the one thing you found weak, and whether you would recommend it and for whom.
