how to use these

copy, fill the blanks, go

1. Fill in the bits in brackets

Prompts have two kinds of blank. {LIKE_THIS} in capitals is a variable you must replace with your own detail. [like this] in lowercase square brackets is a hint or a default you can swap out. Replace them before you send it. If you leave a {VARIABLE} in, the model will ask you for it, which rather defeats the point.

2. Paste it into your AI

Hit copy, paste the whole thing into your assistant, send. The prompts are written in labelled blocks (context, task, output format) so the model knows the role, the job, and the shape of the answer you want. Don't trim those out; they're doing the work.

3. Pick a model that suits the job

These work best on Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. For anything long, reasoned, or multi-step, use the most capable model you have access to. For a quick rewrite or a short answer, a faster model is fine. Some prompts name a best-fit model; that's a suggestion, not a rule.

4. You're in charge

The model drafts; you decide. Read the output, check anything that matters (numbers, names, legal or medical specifics), and edit before you act on it. You are responsible for what you do with the result, not us. That's the whole human-in-the-loop point.
