Reframe Impostor Syndrome as Calibrated Self-Awareness
The feeling is familiar: you are not sure you deserve to be here, are more capable than you appear, or know as much as people seem to think. This does not tell you the feeling is wrong. It separates what is real self-assessment (competence gaps worth addressing) from what is distortion (holding yourself to a standard you apply to nobody else), and notes what the feeling says about how much you care. Describe the situation.
Describe a specific situation where impostor syndrome is showing up for you: [describe the role, context, or achievement that is triggering it]. Reframe it across three angles: (1) what part of the feeling is accurate self-assessment rather than self-doubt (the competence gaps that are real and addressable); (2) what part is inaccurate and why you are applying a higher standard to yourself than to people around you; (3) what the presence of this feeling says about the seriousness with which you take the role or responsibility. Do not tell me to celebrate my achievements. Give me an honest analysis of what is real in the feeling and what is not.
