Re-Engagement Email for Cold Newsletter Subscribers
A chunk of your list has gone quiet and you're about to prune them. Before you do, this writes a three-email win-back sequence with subject lines, preheaders and a clear ask, giving the cold ones one honest chance to come back. For newsletter owners doing list hygiene who'd rather re-engage than just delete.
A segment of my newsletter subscribers has not opened an issue in {INACTIVE_PERIOD}. I need a re-engagement email sequence to win them back before I remove them from the list.
Newsletter: {NEWSLETTER_NAME}
Topic niche: {NICHE}
Inactive segment size: {SEGMENT_SIZE}
Tone of the newsletter: {TONE}
Write a 3-email re-engagement sequence. For each email provide:
- Subject line (with a backup option)
- Preheader text
- Full email body (150 words max)
- The single goal of this email in the sequence
Email 1 should acknowledge the silence without guilt. Email 2 should lead with the most valuable thing a subscriber gets from staying. Email 3 should be a clear last-chance message with a one-click resubscribe or unsubscribe option. Keep the tone warm but honest throughout. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
