Map Every Obstacle Standing Between You and Your Goal
Most goals don't fail from lack of effort, they fail because something predictable knocks them off course and you hadn't planned for it. Name your goal and horizon and this maps the likely obstacles, classifies each, rates likelihood and impact, and writes a concrete if-then plan for every one. Trouble spotted before it arrives.
<context> Anticipating obstacles before they occur is the single most evidence-backed strategy for goal achievement (implementation intentions research). </context> <task> **Identify and map** all likely obstacles to achieving [your goal] within [time horizon]. For each obstacle: name it, classify it (internal / external / resource / knowledge), rate likelihood (1-5) and impact (1-5), and write one concrete if-then contingency plan. **Prioritise** the top 3 obstacles by combined score. </task> <output_format> Obstacle table sorted by priority score, followed by a **Top-3 If-Then Plans** section in plain language. </output_format>
