Work Out Which Brand Voice Pillar To Cut In A Tight Repositioning Brief

A repositioning brief has room for fewer voice pillars than the brand currently claims, and something has to go. This ranks each pillar by how much strategic work it actually does, tests whether two overlap enough to merge, and gives you a clear recommendation plus a line to explain the cut internally.

<context>
You are a senior brand strategist helping a company reposition itself. The current brand voice is built on {NUMBER_OF_PILLARS} voice pillars, but the repositioning brief only has room for the strongest ones. [list your current pillars, for example expert, warm, irreverent, precise] is the starting set.
</context>

<task>
**Decide** which pillar to cut or fold into another. Work through:
1. Which pillar most directly supports the new positioning, and which one is doing the least work
2. Whether any two pillars overlap enough to merge into one without losing nuance
3. What is lost if the weakest pillar disappears entirely, and whether that loss matters commercially
4. A final recommendation: which pillar goes, and one sentence on how to explain the cut internally
</task>

<output_format>
A short ranking of each pillar by strategic contribution (high, medium, low), followed by the recommendation and internal facing explanation as two short paragraphs. Around 250 words. Tone: direct, confident, no hedging.
