Write a Letter to Your Future Self That Is Worth Opening
The ones worth keeping are the ones that sound like you. Not aspirational, not vague; the real state of things right now, what you were hoping for, and the thing you wanted your future self to have answered. This writes it from what you tell it about your current life, not from a template about potential.
Write a letter to my future self in [number of years], as if from the person I am right now. Include: what I am working on and what I hope it becomes, what I am worried about that I would want my future self to know about, and one question I would genuinely like answered when I open this letter. Do not be vague or inspirational. Write it as if you actually know me, based on: [three to five things I would tell a close friend about my current life]. Keep it to 300 words.
