Audit Your Subscriptions and Work Out What to Cut
Subscriptions are designed to be forgotten. The audit takes ten minutes, goes through everything you auto-renew, asks two questions about each one, and groups them into keep, cancel, and review. At the end you have the total monthly and annual cost and a prioritised list of what to cut first. Usually surprising.
I want to audit my subscriptions. Ask me to list everything I pay for regularly: apps, streaming, memberships, insurance, software, and anything else that auto-renews. For each one, ask me two questions: how often I used it in the last month, and whether I would notice if it was gone today. After I finish the list, group the subscriptions into three buckets: keep, cancel, and review. Give me a total of how much I spend on subscriptions per month and per year, and a prioritised list of the top three to cancel first.
