Bring Any NPC to Life in 60 Seconds
Your players talk to the blacksmith you hadn't fleshed out and you're improvising a name and a grunt. This builds a full NPC fast: a name with flavour, a one-line look that doubles as a memory hook, a trait, a contradicting flaw, a secret, and a hook for the table. Drop it in mid-session and nobody knows you made it up just now.
Create a vivid, memorable NPC for a tabletop RPG session. The NPC's role is {NPC_ROLE} (e.g. blacksmith, spy, cult leader). The setting is {SETTING} (e.g. a grimdark city, a high-magic kingdom). Generate: (1) a full name with cultural flavour, (2) a one-sentence physical description that doubles as a mnemonic, (3) a core personality trait and a contradicting flaw, (4) a secret they are hiding from the players, (5) a speech mannerism or verbal tic, and (6) an immediate want and a deeper need. Keep the entire output under 200 words so it is easy to reference mid-session. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
