Build Your Non-Negotiables vs Nice-to-Haves List
Everyone says they have standards, then quietly bins half of them three dates in. This sorts your list honestly. Given your life stage, what you are looking for and your past patterns, it tells you for each item whether its absence would genuinely undermine the relationship or whether it is a preference dressed up as a deal-breaker. The difference that saves you a lot of wasted time.
Help me build a rigorous, honest distinction between my non-negotiables and my nice-to-haves in a romantic partner.
Context: I am {AGE_AND_LIFE_STAGE}, looking for {RELATIONSHIP_GOAL}, and my most significant past relationships have involved {PAST_RELATIONSHIP_PATTERN}.
For each item I list below, tell me whether it is likely a genuine non-negotiable (its absence would fundamentally undermine the relationship) or a nice-to-have (its absence would be a disappointment but workable):
{MY_LIST}
Where you flag something as a nice-to-have that I may have listed as a non-negotiable, explain your reasoning. Also flag if any of my non-negotiables appear to be proxies for an underlying need I haven't named, and name that need explicitly.
End with the three items that most deserve to stay on the non-negotiable list, based on what I've shared. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
