Explain a Technical Concept to a Non-Expert
You need to get a technical idea across to a colleague in finance or HR who has never touched the subject. This gives you a recognisable everyday analogy, a jargon-free paragraph, and the three things they genuinely need to grasp. No more, no less, so you do not lose them halfway through.
Explain the technical concept of {TECHNICAL_CONCEPT} to someone who works in {NON_TECHNICAL_ROLE} and has no background in {TECHNICAL_DOMAIN}.
Use an analogy drawn from everyday life that a {NON_TECHNICAL_ROLE} would recognise. Then give a one-paragraph plain-English explanation (no jargon). Follow that with a short list of the three most important things this person needs to understand, and nothing more. End with one sentence explaining why this concept matters to their daily work.
Do not use the words 'essentially', 'basically', or 'simply'. If you must use a technical term, define it in brackets immediately after first use. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
