Summarise A Dense Academic Paper In Plain English

The abstract alone has three words you had to look up and the paper is forty pages long. This strips it down to what was actually asked, what was found, and where the study falls short, in plain English rather than journal-speak.

Read the academic paper text or abstract pasted below and summarise it in plain English for someone outside the field. Cover the research question, the method used in one or two sentences, the main finding, and one honest limitation or caveat the authors themselves acknowledge or that is obvious from the method. Avoid restating jargon without explaining it; if a technical term is essential, define it in one clause. Keep the summary to 150 to 200 words. Paper text: {PAPER_TEXT}
