Summarise a TV Show Season You Have Fallen Behind On

The new season starts this week and the last one is a blur of half-remembered names and one twist you are pretty sure mattered. This covers the main plot developments, what happened to the key characters, and the ending, flagging clearly if anything counts as a spoiler for a season you have not seen.

Summarise season {SEASON_NUMBER} of {SHOW_NAME} for me before I watch the new season, since I have fallen behind and forgotten the details. Cover the main plot developments, what happened to the two or three most important characters, and any twist or cliffhanger the season ended on. Keep it to the essentials, not a scene-by-scene recap, and warn me clearly if anything below counts as a major spoiler for an earlier season I might not have seen.
