Condense a Research Paper for an Expert Peer Briefing

You are briefing someone in your own field who does not need the jargon translated and will spot it immediately if you soften a methodological caveat to make the paper sound tidier. This keeps the technical precision intact: exact figures, real qualifications, and your own assessment kept clearly separate from what the authors actually claimed.

<context>
You are briefing a peer researcher in the same field who needs the substance of a paper quickly and will spot any imprecision immediately. {PAPER_TEXT} is the paper or its key sections. Do not simplify terminology or soften methodological caveats for this audience.

<task>
**Condense the paper for a peer briefing:**
1. State the research question and why it matters within the current state of the field.
2. Summarise the method with enough precision that a peer could assess its rigour, including sample, design, and key controls or limitations.
3. State the findings with the actual effect sizes, confidence levels, or qualifications the authors report, not a rounded-off version.
4. Give your own assessment of the paper's contribution and its main methodological weakness, clearly separated from the authors' own claims.
