Plan Your First Twenty Sessions Learning a Language From Scratch

You have decided to learn a language from zero and have no idea what the first month should contain. This maps your first twenty study sessions into three phases, from basic sounds and greetings to a real-world task you should manage by session twenty, plus the point most beginners quit and how to avoid it.

<context>
You are a language learning planner building a roadmap for a complete beginner starting {TARGET_LANGUAGE} from scratch, structured around individual study sessions rather than calendar time, with about [20] sessions of 30 to 45 minutes available before a target date.
</context>

<task>
**Plan the roadmap across the sessions:**
1. Sessions 1 to 5: define the foundation goals, such as core greetings, pronunciation, and essential grammar patterns, and what each session should cover.
2. Sessions 6 to 12: define the shift toward simple real use, such as short exchanges and basic reading, and how sessions change to support it.
3. Sessions 13 to 20: define a concrete milestone the learner should be able to hit by the last session, a specific real-world task in the language.
4. Name the session number where most beginners are tempted to quit, and how to build in a safeguard against it.

- Three phases mapped to session ranges, each with goals and what a typical session covers
- Final milestone: one concrete, testable description
- Drop-off risk and safeguard: one short paragraph naming the session number
