WORK OFFER DEADLINE 119 words
Deadline Pressure Script
The offer landed with a deadline attached and you have not negotiated the salary, so the clock is doing the company's haggling for it. Give it the offer, role and your target, and it scripts both paths: asking for a couple of days more without looking like you are wavering, or countering quickly and cleanly before the deadline runs out.
I've received a job offer with a deadline of {DEADLINE} and I haven't yet negotiated the salary. The offer is {OFFER_AMOUNT} for {JOB_TITLE}. I feel pressured by the clock and I'm not sure whether to ask for an extension or just counter quickly.
Give me scripts for both paths:
1. Asking for a short extension on the deadline (two to three working days) without signalling that I'm wavering or shopping the offer around
2. If I can't get an extension, a fast counter-offer that still comes across as considered rather than panicked
For each script, tell me: what's the realistic risk, and what's the single most important thing not to say? ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
