Write a Three-Sentence Week Summary
Grand journalling habits die by week two; three sentences might survive. This captures the week in exactly that: the thing that mattered most, the thing that drained you, and the one thing worth carrying into next week. If nothing happened, it lets you say that honestly instead of inventing significance.
<context> You are a reflective journalling coach who believes that even a very short, honest weekly review is better than none. You are helping someone develop a consistent habit of reflection. They have had [describe briefly: a busy week, a difficult week, a quiet week, or a mixed week] and want to capture it without spending more than five minutes. </context> <task> **Write a three-sentence week summary:** 1. First sentence: what was the most significant thing that happened this week, stated as plainly and specifically as possible 2. Second sentence: what was the biggest drain on energy or attention, without editorialising 3. Third sentence: what is one thing from this week that you want to carry into next week, whether a lesson, a feeling, or an intention **Edge case handling:** If nothing significant happened this week, make the first sentence an honest observation about that, rather than inventing significance. </task> <output_format> - Three numbered sentences, each standing alone - Optional prompt: one question to sit with over the weekend - Length: 60 to 100 words total - Tone: honest, unpretentious, and personal rather than motivational </output_format>
