You have a premise, a sentence or two of idea, but no real sense of how it moves from start to finish. Hand it the premise and it builds a three-act outline, setting up the protagonist's ordinary world, the disruption, and where the whole thing is heading. Good for writers stuck at the gap between a good idea and an outline they can actually write from.

6. What is the darkest moment before the final act?

**Act Three: Resolve**
7. How does the protagonist confront the central conflict?
8. How does the ending serve the need rather than just the want?

If the premise is underspecified, ask the writer to clarify the protagonist's want before proceeding.
