Reframe My World Through Its Losers
You've built your world from the top: the rulers, the winners, the dominant culture. This flips it to the people who lost, a conquered nation, an outlawed group, an underclass, and re-tells the world through their eyes. Good for writers who want depth and tension, and a setting that doesn't read like propaganda for its own ruling class.
I have been building my fictional world primarily from the perspective of its dominant culture, ruling class, or victorious civilisation. I want to reframe the entire world through the eyes of those who lost: a conquered people, an outlawed group, or a marginalised underclass.
My world as currently conceived: {WORLD_SUMMARY}.
The losing or marginalised group I want to focus on: {MARGINALISED_GROUP}.
Reframe the world from their perspective by addressing:
1. What do they call the dominant culture, and what is the insult hidden in that name?
2. What piece of official history is, from their view, a lie or a theft?
3. What do they preserve in secret (a practice, a language, a map) that the dominant culture tried to erase?
4. What do they genuinely admire or envy about the group that oppressed them, even if they would never say it aloud?
5. What is their vision of a good future, and is it realistic or a form of grief?
Write each answer in 3 to 5 sentences. Use a tone that is unflinching but not melodramatic. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
