Stress-Test a World for Internal Contradictions
You've built the world; now you want it broken on purpose before a reader does it for free. Hand over the summary and it runs a five-pass audit, resource logic, politics, culture and the rest, surfacing every contradiction and underexplored consequence. Good for worldbuilders about to commit serious writing time who want the cracks found early.
I have built a fictional world and I want an expert stress-test before I commit to writing it. Apply the following structured audit and surface every contradiction, implausibility, or underexplored consequence you can find.
World summary (include geography, magic or technology, economy, politics, culture, and religion as far as you have them): {WORLD_SUMMARY}
Conduct the audit in five passes:
**Pass 1, Resource logic:** Does the population have enough food, water, and energy given the geography and tech level? Flag any impossible abundance or overlooked scarcity.
**Pass 2, Power stability:** Who holds power and why would they be able to keep it? Identify the most credible internal threat to each power centre.
**Pass 3, Information flow:** How do people learn things? Identify where secrets are implausibly kept or where ignorance is implausibly maintained.
**Pass 4, Cultural coherence:** Do the values, religion, and daily practices form a coherent whole, or are there modern liberal assumptions hidden inside a premodern structure?
**Pass 5, Change pressure:** What force (demographic, technological, ecological, ideological) is most likely to transform this world within a generation, and does your story acknowledge it?
Score each pass: Green (solid), Amber (needs thought), Red (significant problem). Prioritise your top three fixes. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
