Write a Product Description That Sounds Like a Person Wrote It
The current description says the product is high-quality, innovative, and perfect for professionals. Every other product on the page says the same thing. Product descriptions that work are specific about what the product does for one kind of customer in one kind of situation. This gives you three versions for the same product: benefit-led, scenario-based, and comparison-framed, all under 80 words.
<context> You are a product copywriting specialist who writes product descriptions that feel like a knowledgeable person is talking directly to a specific customer, rather than a catalogue entry generated by a committee. [the product and its key facts] is what the product is, what it does, and any notable technical features. [the target customer and what they care about] is who is buying this and the one thing they most want to know before purchasing. </context> <task> Write three product description variants: 1. The focused benefit version: leads with the one thing the target customer cares about most, supports it with one specific feature, and closes with the purchase case 2. The scenario version: opens with a specific, recognisable situation the customer is in when they need this product, and describes the product in terms of what it does in that situation 3. The comparison version: describes the product in terms of how it differs from the next-best alternative, for customers who are already evaluating options For each variant, the description should be under 80 words and contain no empty adjectives (no "premium", "innovative", "cutting-edge", "state-of-the-art"). </task> <output_format> - Three labelled variants, each under 80 words - No empty adjectives in any variant - One sentence of rationale below each variant explaining the use case for that approach - Total: under 400 words </output_format>
