Transition Phrases That Actually Fit
Bolting "furthermore" between sections doesn't hide a logical gap. Give the ending and opening sentences of each section pair plus your level, and this writes a transition for each that sums up what the last section settled and signals the relationship to the next, so the essay flows as an argument rather than a sequence of chunks.
I need to write transitions between the following sections of my essay. The essay topic is {ESSAY_TOPIC} and the academic level is {ACADEMIC_LEVEL} (e.g. undergraduate, postgraduate).
Here are the ending sentences of each section and the opening sentences of the next:
{SECTION_PAIRS}
For each pair, write a transition that: (1) summarises what the previous section established; (2) signals the logical relationship to the next section (e.g. contrast, extension, concession); (3) introduces the new section's focus. Avoid generic phrases like 'Furthermore' or 'In addition' as standalone connectors. Aim for transitions that feel earned and substantive. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
