Write a GM Pre-Session Brief for Your Players
Players arrive at the session two weeks after the last one with only a vague memory of what they were doing. A pre-session brief fixes this. This writes one that is short, in-world, and focused: where you are, what you are trying to do, what you know, and one thing worth thinking about before the session. Under 200 words and ready to paste into your group chat.
Write a short pre-session brief for my players before our next game session of {CAMPAIGN_NAME}. The brief should remind them: where they are and why (one sentence), what they have been trying to accomplish (one sentence), the key information or leads they currently have, and one thing they should think about before the session. Keep it under 200 words. Do not include information the characters do not have. Write it in-world: as if it comes from the game world, not from the GM. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
