Logline Forge: Nail Your Story in One Sentence
If you cannot say your film in a sentence, a producer will not wait for the longer version. You give your story concept, this gives back three loglines built on a clean structure: protagonist, active goal, stakes, central conflict. One leans on character, one on plot, one on irony, so you can hear which lands. For screenwriters heading into a pitch and anyone tightening their hook.
Write a logline for my screenplay. A strong logline has: a protagonist with a clear want, an antagonistic force or obstacle, and a sense of stakes or irony. Use this structure: [PROTAGONIST] must [ACTIVE GOAL] before/or [STAKES/CONSEQUENCE], but [CENTRAL CONFLICT].
Here is my story concept: {STORY_CONCEPT}
Generate three logline variations: one that emphasises character, one that emphasises plot, and one that leans into theme or irony. Each should be a single sentence under 35 words. After each, briefly explain what makes it work and what it might sacrifice. Then recommend the strongest of the three and tell me why. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
