Build a Villain With a Coherent Worldview
The villain who is just evil is boring. The one who is right about one thing, wrong about everything else, and completely convinced of the logic is much harder to dismiss. This builds the architecture: the origin belief, the evidence they have assembled to confirm it, where they are not entirely wrong, and the scene they could never appear in without the whole worldview unravelling.

2. The evidence they use to confirm that belief: three incidents, relationships, or experiences that built their worldview
3. Where they are right: the element of their worldview that is not entirely wrong
4. Their method: how they pursue their goal and why that method makes sense given what they believe
5. Their blind spot: what they cannot see because of the belief
6. One scene they would never appear in: a situation that would reveal the limit of their worldview
