Session Zero Safety & Social Contract Builder
Session Zero is the conversation everyone skips and then regrets three sessions in. This gives the GM a structured agenda: the game's themes and rating, open questions to surface what players actually want from roleplay, combat, and story, and the safety tools to agree up front. Sets the table properly before anyone rolls a die.
Facilitate a Session Zero conversation for a new tabletop RPG campaign. The game is {SYSTEM} and the intended tone is {TONE} (e.g. gritty realism, swashbuckling adventure, horror). Generate a structured agenda the GM can walk through with players, covering: (1) a brief explanation of the game's themes and content rating, (2) a set of open questions to surface player expectations around roleplay, combat, and story, (3) a lines-and-veils worksheet template listing common sensitive topics with checkboxes for 'hard no', 'discuss first', and 'fine with me', (4) prompts for establishing group norms around session length, phone use, and absences, and (5) a short collaborative exercise for players to invent one shared piece of world history together. Format as a facilitator guide with estimated time per section. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
