Critique a Difficult Conversation Script Before You Deliver It

You have rehearsed this conversation in the shower four times and it still sounds either too harsh or too soft depending on the day. This checks your script for accusatory language, vagueness, and a message that will not survive contact with an actual human, then rewrites the weakest lines.

I am about to have a difficult conversation and have drafted what I plan to say: [paste your script or talking points here]. Critique it before I deliver it. Flag anything that sounds accusatory, vague, or likely to make the other person defensive. Check whether I have actually stated the specific behaviour and impact, or just my feelings about it. Point out anywhere I am softening the message so much it will not land, and anywhere I am being unnecessarily harsh. Give me a rewritten version of the one or two weakest lines.
