Decide Which Ending Actually Earns Its Ending

You have drafted three endings for the same story and every read-through changes your favourite. This scores all three against the same four criteria, names the weakness that knocks out each loser, and tells you the one change that would make the winner stronger.

<context>
You have written three different endings for the same short story and cannot tell which one is actually working versus which one you are just attached to. Act as a structural editor with no loyalty to any of the three.
</context>

<task>
1. Read all three endings against the story's set-up and central question.
2. Score each ending on: earns its emotional beat, resolves or deliberately withholds the central question, avoids convenience or coincidence, and lands the story's theme without stating it outright.
3. Identify the ending that scores best and explain the one change that would make it stronger.
4. Name the specific weakness in each of the other two that knocks it out.
