SELF FUTURE SELF LETTER 196 words
Write a letter to your future self, 10 years from now
Picture opening a letter from yourself written a decade ago, capturing exactly where your life stood. Set aside thirty minutes and write to the person you will be in ten years: the state of your relationships, work, health, fears and hopes as they are right now, and what you want them to remember. A snapshot of today, handed forward as a gift.
Set aside 30 minutes and write a letter to the person you will be in 10 years. Write it in second person, "Dear [your name]", and write as if you are handing them something they will be glad to have. Structure your letter around these sections: 1. What is my life like right now, as I write this? Give your future self the context: the state of your relationships, work, health, fears, and hopes as they stand today. 2. What do I most hope you have figured out by the time you read this? 3. What am I working on now that I hope paid off? What seeds am I planting? 4. What do I hope you have let go of that I am still holding onto? 5. What do I want to remind you was true about this period of your life, the things time might soften or erase? 6. What question do I most want you to be able to answer by then? Close with something warm. You are writing to someone who has lived through everything you are living through now. When finished, date and save the letter somewhere you will find it.
